A Charming Illustrated Children’s Story!
Overview: Two-year-old Arabella is ready to leave her mark on the world. As she creates footprints on the floor, on the sand, on the covers, and on many more places, Arabella follows in big-sister Karlina’s footsteps, tiptoeing all the way into Mommy’s heart.
“Footprints on Mommy’s Heart” is a children’s story dedicated to the author’s granddaughter. Author Vitale writes an upbeat fictional account of the little girl following in the footsteps of her big sister, but in her own special way.
Arabella is a bright, charming, and mischievous little tyke with a heart of gold. She guides children on a journey that vividly describes all of her favorite things; being an artist, jumping in puddles, playing in mud, and going on a trip to the beach. She even explains what she wants to be when she grows up—A subject of great interest to most children of that age.
Overall, “Footprints on Mommy’s Heart” is a cheery story that encourages creativity and exploration in children. The love that Author Mary Ann Vitale holds for her granddaughter is obvious as is evidenced by the many photographs and illustrations of the little girl that are included in her book. The images included in her story, however, often depict a child who appears to be between the ages of four to five years of age rather than the two-year-old protagonist mentioned at the beginning who is relating her own story.
“Footprints In Mommy’s Heart” is a bright and humorous story for children who love to read books with a parent. I recommend this story for children, ages 3 to 5, who enjoy imaginative play.
