THE INDIE FABS

Who are the Indie Fabs?

The Indie Fabs is a team of authors consisting of Aliya DalRae, Renee Gauthier, Eva Pasco, JB Richards, Lyra Shanti, & Joanne Van Leerdam. We strictly adhere to one motto; "All for one, and one for all!"

I owe a lot to my fans and readers for making “Miriamne the Magdala” such a great success and I acknowledge that I wouldn’t be where I am today in my career as an Indie author, promoter, and mentor if it wasn’t for the selfless support of my beloved author team—The Indie Fabs. We are "Indies Helping Indies", paying-it-forward by offering support, assistance, and guidance to Indie authors in order to build strong bonds of cooperation and fellowship within our community.

In turn, the only type of return we encourage for our assistance is for those authors whose lives we touch to then extend the same courtesy to other Indies, without any expectation or acknowledgment for their service except to continue paying-it-forward, keeping that same sense of mutual cooperation and Indie spirit in mind. After all, the only way we feel we can achieve our own goals to be successful independent authors is by working together with you as a mutual team striving to benefit of our entire Indie community!

Be sure to check out these exclusive interviews with the Indie Fabs below.

MEET THE FABS

ALIYA DALRAE

Born and raised in a farming community in rural Southwest Ohio, Aliya DalRae grew up a middle child, with an older and younger brother. Surrounded by corn and cows, it was not unusual for Aliya to immerse herself in books, her way of escaping the humdrum small town life to visit fantastic lands full of mystery, myth and legend. And of course, romance.

In 1992, Aliya met her immortal beloved, and they have been inseparable ever since. When not weaving romantic tales, she can be found working side by side with her husband in their furniture restoration business, where she weaves caned chairs instead.

Aliya is the author of the Jessica Sweet Trilogy. Her debut novel, “Sweet Vengeance,” was published in February 2016, and was honored as a Golden Quill Awards Reader’s Choice Finalist in 2017. Her second novel, “Sweet Discovery,” is a Top Three Winner in the 2017 Virtual Fantasy Con Awards, as well as a 2017 SIBA Awards Nominee. Her short story, “Bittersweet,” also received a 2017 SIBA nomination. Recently, Aliya released the first two books in the Fallen Cross Pack Series, “Bitter Beginnings” and “Bitter Challenge.” The four-part series of ADR Shorts will be completed by March 2018, with the third book in the JST following soon thereafter.

In addition, Ms. Pasco has published numerous Retro ‘60s Flashbacks on “The 60s Official Site,” and a slew of essays pertaining to her native state of Rhode Island, prefaced with “Rhode Read,” on Authors Den. JB RICHARDS

JB Richards is an historian and international muli-award-winning Amazon, Goodreads, and Xlibris author. She holds Bachelor of Arts degrees in Psychology and History. Richards is the founder and driving force behind the Indies Helping Indies Book Review Project (IHIBRP)—which she created and initiated in April 2017 to provide qualifying Indie authors with high-quality book reviews and free promotional services. She is also the founder of the Indie Fabs—a team of authors equally dedicated to offering free assistance, guidance, and support to Indie (independent) authors with the aim of building strong bonds of cooperation and fellowship within the Indie community. She has been a member of the Women Fiction Writers Association (WFWA) and The International Women’s Writing Guild (IWWG) since 2016.

In November 2016, Richards was nominated for “Top Female Author” by TheAuthorsShow.com. In April 2017, she received a nomination for “Author of the Year” in the Indie Author Books 2016 Readers’ Choice Awards.

Richards’ fantasy tale, “The Dragon’s Heir”, is included in an award-winning adult fairy tale anthology called “Once Upon a Fabulous Time” that was published in December 2017. Her multi-award-winning debut novel, "Miriamne the Magdala"—Grand Prize Winner of the 2017 Golden Quill Award—was published in 2015 after more than 20 years of extensive research into the lives and times of Jesus Christ and Mary Magdalene. Her reimagining of their lives together provides an intimate, yet provocative and controversial look into a relationship nourished by a rich culture, forged by ancient traditions, transformed by an insurmountable love, and threatened by a turbulent and oppressive political landscape. “The First Christmas: A Yeshua and Miri Novel Series Short” was released in December 2017, and her upcoming sequel, “Yeshua the Christ: The Silk Road”, is due for publication in 2018.

Richards is a lifelong resident of Manchester, New Hampshire, where she resides with her husband, Daniel, her son, Matthew, and her two dogs, Monty and Ayden.
