Prophecies loom large and destinies are met in Author Amy Proebstel’s fifth chapter of her unusually creative alternate-dimensions space opera—The Levels of Ascension Series. As in the prior chapters of this series, the author’s plotline stays the course as her main characters learn the truth about their pasts, confront new situations, renew old relationships, and learn their part in Jehoban’s grand plan.

This is a highly absorbing read with a steady plotline and endearing, characters. One gets the feeling that all of Amanda’s dreams seem to have come to fruition, with all the loose ends of this story tied up in a neat little package, but Proebstel waits until the last few chapters of this story to submerge her characters in a whole new mystery... a search for yet another lost family.

Although I cannot recommend this particular installment of the series as a stand-alone novel, I’m sure Levels of Ascension fans will find Book 5 to be one illuminating read. They’ll also be thrilled to learn that this is hardly the final chapter in Amanda’s story, and I, for one, can’t wait to forge ahead and resolve Proebstel’s next grand mystery.
